🎙️ PSA: Apologies we’re a day late here in releasing this… I’ve had a very busy easy Easter weekend. Hope you’ve all had a great one too.
I somehow ended up down a YouTube rabbit hole of watching back some of the major Apple keynote announcements of flagship devices. iPhone X and iPhone 5 were some of those that I watched, where Jony Ive talked so deeply about what was innovation at the time, of how they were redesigned.

It’s crazy how far things have come, 10 or so years on since then. Tap the links above to watch them, it’s quite funny now looking back.
Youtube then recommended a speech Steve Jobs did at Stanford University, where he shares three stories from his life: ‘Love and Loss’, ‘Death’, and ‘Connecting the Dots’…
The lesson Connecting the Dots is the focus story of this newsletter. He summary of this was that in the very heat of ‘cross road’ moments in life, where you usually have to make turning point decisions, you can’t see how this will all interplay with where you want to head in the future. But as long as you’re trusting something, your gut, your intuition, your passion, it will all work out in the end. And when you look back you’ll see how that decision helped towards getting there.
He explains how impossible it is to connect the dots looking forward, but it is crystal clear looking backwards.
It’s 10 minutes… listen to it whilst making a coffee:
